WHAT IS A HEALTHY MIND?

​During three decades of professional and personal interactions with people from different cultures and backgrounds, I had the opportunity to talk to thousands of students, clients, and colleagues. One thing we all share in common is our desire to find balance, peace, joy, and fulfillment. 

None of these aspirations are possible if we do not understand the mind, if we do not know how to manage our thoughts and the chain of reaction that causes emotions and behavior. 

Do we really understand the mind? It may seem an obvious question, but the mind is much more than what we think it is. No one teaches us about the functions of the mind and how we can manage it in the healthiest possible way for the benefit of our interpersonal relationships and professional work.

During this free class, we will dive deep into Yoga Philosophy and modern Psychology to understand how these branches of wisdom and knowledge explain the mind: thoughts, emotions, behavior. The tools that you will learn during this class you will take forever with you.

The recorded class will be available for members only and it includes the topics of a Healthy Mind taught by Claudia.

ABOUT CLAUDIA

Claudia Carballal works as a clinical counselor at her private counseling practice and with the mental health department of an organization in the US helping survivors of human rights violations. She is a gifted coach and an experienced yoga teacher certified by Yoga Alliance with formal training in India and the US. Claudia sees around 40 people per week in counseling and coaching on a variety of issues and has taught yoga and meditation to thousands of students in the US and India since 2012.

 

Claudia was initiated to spiritual practices and meditation by one of her spiritual teachers in India belonging to the Vedanta tradition. Her passion for Psychology and Yoga Science, especially Jnana Yoga (the Yoga of Knowledge) take her to India every year to continue learning under her gurus and collaborating in workshops with her colleagues in India.

 

Claudia's journey and experiences provided the inspiration to publish her book Yoga Psychology for Mental Health: A Guide to The Wisdom of Eastern Philosophy and Yoga Psychology for Mental Health and Healing. The book is a compilation of the main sources of yoga, the tools that yoga provides for physical, mental, and spiritual health, and how to apply Eastern wisdom teachings to improve our relationships and continue our human evolution.
